SUCCESSFUL APPROACH
Improving recovery rates for alcoholics and addicts.

Using the principles of the highly successful programs for health care professionals and pilots to improve recovery rates for all alcoholics and addicts. At ARP, we're always looking for ways to improve recovery rates. Important to this process is the ongoing study of treatment and recovery. By attending seminars and conferences, discussing outcomes with other counselors, publishing our own views on treatment outcomes, and continuing to review the newest ideas in recovery, we both better our professional education and contribute to the field at large. Several of our professionals have worked as counselors for health care professionals and pilots - groups that have unusually high recovery rates, exceeding an 85% rate of success. We both write about our experiences with these treatment programs, and actively apply the proven methods and concepts we learn in our practice. While each individual and family is unique, a studied process backed by the experience of trained professionals can make a critical difference on the path to recovery.

To the outsider, it may appear that all treatment is more or less alike. There are, in fact, many differences among treatment centers in terms of what happens in treatment, what constitutes addiction, family involvement, post-treatment planning, patient populations, and quality and expertise of the counselors. In addition, due to finances, many treatment centers are undergoing changes in the way they manage treatment. We strive to maintain updated information on treatment centers so we are aware of treatment options and able to identify the most appropriate matches between patient and treatment centers.
